Assalamu alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu,
Respected Brothers and Sisters,
Eid-ul-Adha is a time of joy for the individual, the family, the congregation, and the entire Muslim Ummah.
This year, Eid-ul-Adha, insha’Allah, will be on Friday, June 6 th , 2025.
We will hold the Eid prayer in two sessions:
- The first prayer will be at 7:00 AM
- The second prayer will be at 9:00 AM
Eid-ul-Adha commemorates the unwavering faith and willingness of Prophet Ibrahim (a.s.) and his family to make the ultimate sacrifice. It is a reminder for all of us to sacrifice selfishness, envy, greed, falsehood, slander, suspicion, and distrust—so we may grow closer to our families, friends, neighbors, and ultimately, to Allah.
The act of sacrificing an animal is not merely symbolic; it encourages believers to purify themselves of negative traits and to strengthen unity within the family and the community.
The sacrificial animal represents obedience and devotion to the Almighty Allah and the willingness to persevere patiently on His path.
Drawing closer to Allah also means drawing closer to people—through compassion, trust, and mutual respect.
You may make your Qurbani (sacrifice) payment of $460.00 CAD in one of the following ways:
- At the Mosque office

- By cheque payable to:
Bosnian Islamic Centre 75 Birmingham St., Etobicoke, ON M8V 2C3
This payment includes the cost of the Qurbani and the arrangement for it to be performed and distributed in Bosnia.
We will be accepting Qurbani payments until Friday, June 6 th , 2025, insha’Allah!
